Building Water Shut-Off Notice – 6/21/22

Please be advised that there will be a temporary building water shut-off on Tuesday, June 21, 2022 between 9:00 AM-3:00 PM to replace main valves connected to the boilers/water storage tanks that is causing a lack of cold-water issue in several units. Should the work be completed prior to 3:00pm, the water will turn on once repairs are complete. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you, and respectfully request that you please plan accordingly for this water shut-off.

Parking Garage Speed Limit

This is a friendly reminder that the speed limit in the parking garage is 4 mph. We have received multiple complaints lately that residents are speeding throughout the garage, so please be mindful of the speed limit when driving throughout the garage. We have posted additional signage throughout the different garage levels to remind residents of the speed limit. Thank you for your cooperation with this matter!

HVAC Preventative Maintenance

As we approach the warmer months, we strongly encourage all residents to have your A/C unit inspected to ensure that everything is working as it should. Attached you will find a flyer from Hurn Mechanical – while it is not required that you use Hurn, it is encouraged as they service the buildings’ common area HVAC equipment and are very familiar with Solara Lofts. If you do schedule an appointment with an HVAC technician (Monday-Friday only), please contact communitycare@actionlife.com to open a work order specifically to request access to the penthouse for your technician. The Building Engineer, Edward, will need to provide your technician access to the penthouse where the A/C units are located for all individual units.

*Please note that Hurn cannot provide preventative maintenance service on A/C units that are not working. If your unit is not running, you will need to setup a “service call.”

ButterflyMX Delivery Pass Feature

ButterflyMX has released a new Delivery Pass feature! This feature allows residents to provide a one-time use 6-digit pin to delivery drivers so they can easily access the property. You can find more information on how this feature can help you here, and information on how to turn this feature on and manage it here.

Please note, the Projects Committee is still working on options for Board consideration for the lobby package solution project. An update will be provided when the details of this project are finalized.

Be Vigilant When Entering Vehicle Gate

Please be advised that Solara Lofts had security incident recently where a homeless person was able to access the parking garage by tailgating a vehicle entering the garage. Luckily this person did not vandalize any property, but this incident, as well as a significant increase in similar incidents all over downtown, remind us that all residents must make building security their constant and top priority. As such, it critically important that all residents stay vigilant and aware of their surroundings at all times by following the below safety guidelines: 

1. DO NOT allow anyone to follow you in a community entrance or vehicle gate.

2. DO NOT leave any valuables in the open. Take carts or bicycles into your unit to secure them.

3. DO NOT leave any valuables in your vehicle.

4. DO NOT leave any visible personal belongings or items in your vehicle.

5. Call the police if you see a trespasser onsite (emergency: 911).

6. Call Clean and Safe if there are loiters near any building entrance (phone: 619-234-8900; text: 619-414-2698)
