April 2017 Board of Directors Meeting – NEW DATE!!

The April 2017 Board of Directors Meeting will be tentatively held on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 in the lobby.  Open Session will begin at 6:30pm.  Be on the lookout for the agenda posting for confirmation!

New Manager Introduction
Sarah Jordan will be the newly assigned Manager for Solara Lofts effective March 16, 2017.  She will be attending the March 16th meeting to meet the Board and community.  If you are able to attend or see her around the building shortly after, please give her a warm Solara welcome!

Vacant Seat on the Board
A seat on the Board of the Directors will be open for appointment.  If you are interested in serving on the Board, please let Management know at sjordan@actionlife.com.

Electrical Vehicle Charging Stations
The Solara Board of Directors is interested in hearing from the Membership if there is an interest in electrical vehicles.  Please let Management know if you are thinking of purchasing one, and when (within the year, next year, 2-3 years, etc.)

Quigley’s Wine Wednesdays
Solara’s commercial neighbor, Quigley’s Fine Wines hosts Wine Wednesdays and invites all Solara residents to attend.  It is a great way to get to know and mingle with your neighbors!

Proper Use of Garbage Disposals
Use of a garbage disposal in a stacked unit situation is much different than a single story home.  Please throw away your food into the garbage.  By putting foods down the disposal (rice, pastas, eggshells, etc.) this increases the chance of a backup in your unit or one below you – resulting in costly damage paid by all owners via monthly assessments and can affect the following year’s budget.

Trash Chute/Cedar St. Trashroom
When using the trash chute, please remember to condense your trash as the chute is narrow.  Make sure all bags are tied before dropping them down the chute.  Boxes must be taken down and broken down all before placing them in the Cedar St. trashroom recycle bin.  There have been many instances where boxes are simply tossed in there.  This causes more work for Fernando and Rosa and is inconsiderate to your neighbors.  Please take the very short amount of time to properly discard of your recyclables and trash. The code is 1441, please remember to lock up when you leave.

Contact Information
In the event you change your email address or phone number, please remember to advise management.  This allows us to continue to communicate important reminders to you!

Emergency Situation Protocol
In any type of emergency situation, maintenance or life threatening, do NOT email – PLEASE CALL!  Action and Action After-Hours can be reached at 949-450-0202.  If you are experiencing a water intrusion and have called it in, DO NOT LEAVE your unit even if it is a slow back up.  You may end up being responsible for damages due to negligence.  If there is anything that is life threatening, do not hesitate to call 9-1-1.

Just a reminder that all moves and deliveries must be scheduled with Management at least a week in advance.  A general rule of thumb is if it takes more than one person to move it, then a move must be scheduled.  The reason is simply to protect the building from sustaining damage during a move.  Please be advised that if you are found to have had an unscheduled move, you will be subject to hearing and fine.  If you are unsure of the scope of your move or would like to schedule a move, please contact the General Manager.
