Delivery Rules Reminder

This is a friendly reminder about the Solara Loft Owners Association policies regarding deliveries using the service elevator.

Deliveries

  • Deliveries are only permitted Monday-Saturday from 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
  • If you are having items delivered, including supplies, furniture, or appliances which require two (2) or more persons or require the use of dollies to transport, you must coordinate a delivery date with Management least five (5) business days prior to the delivery. This advance coordination is required to ensure elevator padding is installed and that there is no conflict with a scheduled move.
  • No more than five (5) items are permitted per delivery.
  • A walk-through with the Building Engineer both before and after the delivery will be made with the individual making the delivery, in order to ensure no damage was done to the Common Areas. On days that the Building Engineer is not present, a fellow homeowner may assume this role.
  • The individual receiving the delivery must arrange for a responsible party (Solara homeowner, or Building Engineer) to open and re-secure the Cedar Street doors immediately after all deliveries. At no time should the doors be left unattended.
  • Under no circumstances may furniture or other items be dragged across flooring; dollies or hand trucks must be used at all times.

Remove Your Lockboxes!

It has been reported on two recent occasions that there have been lockbox thefts that have resulted in break-ins happening at Solara Lofts. Given that, as well as the Association’s newly adopted rules surrounding lock boxes, please remove your lockbox from the exterior lockbox cage on Cedar Ave. NO LATER THAN THE END OF THE DAY THURSDAY, DECEMBER 9. Any lockboxes that remain on this exterior cage after that time will be cut and disposed of in accordance with the Association’s lock box rules.

The new ButterflyMX system was one of the many positives for better security at the building, including making lockboxes to access the building no longer necessary – you can provide virtual keys to your guests, as well as open the doors for them remotely. Lockboxes are permitted for real estate agents with active sales ONLY and must be registered in advance with management.  No rental, vacation rental, or personal resident lockboxes are permitted. Unregistered lockboxes will be removed and disposed. Lockboxes that are not removed within thirty (30) days after the close of a sale will be removed and disposed. All lockboxes must have real estate agent identification on them and are now located in the garbage room ONLY.

ButterflyMX Live Date!

We are happy to announce that the new building access system, ButterflyMX, is scheduled to go live on October 19! If you have not registered for a ButterflyMX account or would like to verify that you are registered in the system, please email me at jpoulton@actionlife.com. Invitation emails were sent several weeks ago but we are showing several residents have not activated their account yet.

Your existing fobs will still be operational with the new system, but it is important that you create an account with ButterflyMX to be added to the directory and to be able to provide access for your guests. We hope that you will enjoy this new system!
